Mandilas Market will be closed immediately for the next two days by the State Government in order to let vendors to follow its order to remove any illegally constructed temporary buildings that have been set up on road setbacks inside and outside of the market.
A joint inspection and enforcement exercise led by Olajide Babatunde, the governor’s special adviser on eGIS and urban development; Bola Olumegbon-Lawal, his colleague overseeing the Central Business District; Nurudeen Sodehinde, the permanent secretary of the Office of Urban Development; and Gbolahan Oki, general manager of the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA), resulted in the issuance of the closure notice.
